Ao Nang is the central
point of Krabi Province and it's attractions. Just a few years
ago this was still a tiny fishing community but in recent times
has grown into a major international tourist destination. One
of Southern Thailand's most beautiful destination, with spectacular
scenery, pristine beaches and a warm, friendly atmosphere.
This small corner of
The Kingdom has it all - beaches, bays, islands, diving, local
Ao Nang Beach
the most beautiful beach in the area, but certainly the most
popular. As most of the hotel and resorts are located in Ao
Nang, it's an easy walk down to the beach directly from your
hotel. With the beach road lined with shops, bars, cafes and
restaurants, Ao Nang has devleoped into one of Thailand's
most popular beaches.
Lined with limestone
cliffs and golden sand, Railay Beach is just a ten minute
boat ride from Ao Nang. Railay Beach is truly a paradise
and the natural beauty surrounding the bay is unrivalled
in Thailand. To escape the ever-growing crowds in Ao Nang
or Phi-Phi, Railay is perfect. Although only 10 mins away
from Ao Nang by longtail boat, the atmosphere on Railay
is on another level. Evenings on the bay are spent with
good food and good company!
next bay over from Railay, Phra Nang Beach is famous for
it's cave, a good spot to swim out of the sun. This is
great place to spend a day relaxing on the beach and there
are plenty of beach bars and cafes to get a cold drink.
Nopparat Thara Beach
shallowest of the bays and beaches around Ao Nang, Nopparat
Thara Beach is a popular spot for familes with young children.
The beach road is lined with small cafes and bars where you
can get a snack or a drink while the little ones are playing
on the sand or in the warm water.
Phi Phi Island
in the Andaman sea amongst breathtaking lime rock formations,
Koh Phi-Phi's twin islands, Phi-Phi Don and Phi-Phi Ley, are
equal distance from both Krabi and Phuket and easily accessible
from both. The most popular spot is Tonsai Bay, situated in
the "lungs" of Phi-Phi Don. Along the bay are beautiful
bunglows and beachfront cafes & bars.
